Relevant Work Experience
Orchestra Committee Member – Hyogo Performing Arts Center (2009 – present)
Elected by my peers to serve on the HPAC Orchestra Player’s Committee, a group responsible for meeting with the orchestra administration to negotiate “mutual problems, simple discipline, sustaining high morale, and maintaining good relations between the members and the administration.” In 2009, the committee worked towards producing a new, highly-revised contract for the orchestra’s core members and developed an internet-based evaluation system for guest conductors, soloists and repertoire.
Arts & Culture Fellow - Yale McDougal Graduate Student Center (2005 - 2007)
Part of a team of graduate student fellowship recipients responsible for organizing artistic events for the enjoyment and education of the graduate student community at Yale University. Personally responsible for the organization of a biweekly concert series which features both professionally-trained and amateur graduate students.
Community Service Fellow - Yale McDougal Graduate Student Center (2005 - 2007)
Responsible for organizing and promoting opportunities for Yale graduate students to serve the greater Yale/New Haven area. Events have included blood drives, soup kitchens, AIDS walks, and fundraiser/charity events.
