Assistant to Professor of Trumpet Arto Hoornweg. Responsibilities included running morning fundamentals/warm-up sessions, teaching private lessons, recruitment and teaching in masterclass settings.

Employed as a private lesson instructor for adult/young-adult students at the
Naugatuck Valley Community College majoring in music or studying the trumpet as

Yale College Music Department, Teaching Fellow (2006)
Employed by the Department of Music at Yale College as a teaching fellow for
"African American Popular Music of the 1960s: Motown and Soul," an
undergraduate course taught by Dr. Robert Fink. Responsibilities include attending
lectures and grading term papers, midterms and final exams.
Yale School of Music Musicianship Program, Teaching Assistant (2005-2007)
Employed by the Yale School of Music as a teaching assistant to professors
Joan Panetti and Orianna Webb for "Hearing," a graduate level ear-training/analysis
course. Responsibilities include administering and correcting exams, correcting
homework, maintaining an attendance record, and meeting with students
individually for additional help and instruction.
Private Lesson Instructor
Employed as a private lesson instructor for undergraduate students by the Yale
School of Music (2005 - 2007) and Oberlin Conservatory (2002 - 2003). Also
employed through the "Visiting Artists Program" in the Pomperaug (CT) School
District as a private trumpet instructor for students in middle school, junior high
school and high school (2006 - 2007).

Relevant Work Experience
Orchestra Committee Member – Hyogo Performing Arts Center (2009 – present)
Elected by my peers to serve on the HPAC Orchestra Player’s Committee, a group responsible for meeting with the orchestra administration to negotiate “mutual problems, simple discipline, sustaining high morale, and maintaining good relations between the members and the administration.” In 2009, the committee worked towards producing a new, highly-revised contract for the orchestra’s core members and developed an internet-based evaluation system for guest conductors, soloists and repertoire.
Arts & Culture Fellow - Yale McDougal Graduate Student Center (2005 - 2007)
Part of a team of graduate student fellowship recipients responsible for organizing artistic events for the enjoyment and education of the graduate student community at Yale University. Personally responsible for the organization of a biweekly concert series which features both professionally-trained and amateur graduate students.
Community Service Fellow - Yale McDougal Graduate Student Center (2005 - 2007)
Responsible for organizing and promoting opportunities for Yale graduate students to serve the greater Yale/New Haven area. Events have included blood drives, soup kitchens, AIDS walks, and fundraiser/charity events.
